The leather lounge faces a 75 inch television, which sounds like the main event until you notice it is sitting in front of the lagoon. Rainy afternoons and big-match nights are covered; so are the evenings when nobody turns it on at all. Bring your own streaming logins and sign straight in.
A kitchen you can actually cook a holiday in
The stone-topped island runs the length of the kitchen with spinning stools tucked along it, which is where the kids end up for breakfast and where somebody always ends up with a glass of wine while dinner happens. Gas cooking, a proper oven, and enough cookware, glassware and crockery that a full house never runs out of anything mid-meal.

The dining end
Set between the kitchen and the barbecue
The dining table sits with leather chairs under a beaded pendant, deliberately placed between the kitchen and the sliding doors out to the barbecue area, so serving a meal is three steps in either direction. Open the louvres and it becomes half indoor, half outdoor, which is how most dinners here end up being eaten.
