Booking terms
Golden Hour Trinity Beach is booked directly with us, the owners. There is no platform in the middle, which keeps the price down and means you deal with the people who actually own the house. It also means these terms are the whole agreement, so they are written to be read.
How a booking is made
You send a request with your dates. Nothing is held at that point. We check the calendar and confirm personally, usually within 24 hours. Your dates are held once we confirm, and you will get an email saying so.
We never take payment before confirming, because we will not hold your money for dates we cannot honour.
Paying
A 25% deposit secures the booking, payable within 7 days of our confirmation. The balance is due 30 days before you arrive. Bookings made inside 30 days are payable in full on confirmation.
Pay by PayID or bank transfer, or by card through a secure payment link. PayID is the one we would pick: it is free at both ends, it clears in about a minute rather than overnight, and it works on weekends. Your invoice will have all the options on it.
One practical note: most banks cap PayID and Osko transfers at somewhere between $5,000 and $25,000 a day. If your balance is above your limit you can send it across two days, raise the limit in your banking app, or use the card link instead. Worth checking before the due date rather than on it.
If the deposit is not paid within 7 days we will get in touch before doing anything. We only release dates after that, and we will always tell you first.
What it costs
$1,000 a night, the same rate all year. No peak-season surcharge, and cleaning is included rather than added at the end. Minimum stay is 3 nights.
So a week is $7,000 all up, and the deposit to secure it is $1,750. Send us your dates and we will confirm the exact figure.
If you need to cancel
Plans change. This is how we handle it:
| More than 60 days before arrival | Everything you have paid is refunded |
| 30 to 60 days before arrival | Deposit is forfeited, any balance paid is refunded |
| Less than 30 days before arrival | No refund |
We know that last row is firm. Inside 30 days the nights rarely re-sell, and we have usually turned other people away by then. If something serious happens to you, tell us anyway. We would rather hear it and work something out than hide behind a table.
If we have to cancel, for any reason at all, you get everything back in full.
The house
Check-in is from 3pm and checkout is 10am. The house sleeps nine and the booking is for the number of guests you told us, so please ask before anyone extra stays.
No parties or events, no smoking indoors, and no pets. The pool is not fenced from the deck, so children need to be supervised around it. We ask you to leave the place as you found it, which for a family holiday house means tidy rather than spotless.
Things we cannot control
Tropical North Queensland has a wet season, marine stingers from roughly November to May, and the occasional cyclone warning. None of those are grounds for a refund on their own, and we would rather say so plainly than hide it. If an event makes the house genuinely unusable or unreachable, we will refund you in full.
Questions
Ask us. That is the whole point of booking direct. Send a booking request with a question in the message, or read the FAQ.
